A couple of months ago, Kauila decided to challenge himself with a heart attack while he was up in Alaska for an indigenous people's conference.
He chose surgery and life. Family and friends went there to support.
Kauila returned to Hawaii nei in September where he is courageously recovering well, ever joking and lightening up life for those around him. Breathing gets easier every day. How much do you think about your breathing?
Now the medical bills are coming in. Kauila and his family need our help. For all the inspiration, helping hands, wisdom, love and aloha he has given to our community over the years -- now is our opportunity to return the love in our hearts to Kauila.
Please join us for a day in Wai'anae!
